Brooksville Blues-In Cruise-In/Historic Downtown Brooksville Arts Market: Downtown Brooksville will come alive Saturday evening with two events from 5 to 9 p.m. Brooksville Main Street and Hernando County Growers Association presents the monthly Cruise-In in front of the historic Hernando County Courthouse, 20 N Main St. Live music provided by Blue Z Band on the courthouse steps. The car show is coordinated by AK Customz, Inc. Also, the Un-Common-ly Artsy: Brooksville Arts Market will be set up along Main Street between Fort Dade Avenue and Jefferson Street, and the Uptown Art Gallery at Brooksville City Hall will be open during the event. Hispanic Heritage Festival of Hernando County will be Sept. 21.

Stargazing at J.B. Starkey Park: Astronomers will set up their scopes from 8 to 10 p.m. Saturday at J.B. Starkey Wilderness Park, 10550 Wilderness Blvd., 10550 Wilderness Blvd., New Port Richey. Scream-A-Geddon: The scares and thrills of Halloween will come alive weekends in September and daily in October at the annual Scream-A-Geddon at 27839 Saint Joe Road, Dade City. Hours are 7:30 p.m. to midnight Fridays and Saturdays in September. It will be open daily Oct. 3-Nov. 2; hours will be 7:30 to 11 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays, and 7:30 p.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays. This year features a monster midway and zombie paintball assault with multiple scare zones, including Bozos Beer Garden, Rage 3D, Demons Revenge, Blackpool Prison, Deadwoods and Infected: Ground Zero. Cheaper by the Dozen: Live Oak Theatre presents this classic comedy through Sept. 22 at the Carol & Frank Morsani Center for the Arts, 21030 Cortez Blvd., Brooksville. Based on the autobiographical book by Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr. and Ernestine Gilbreth Carey, and the 1950 movie of the same name. It is the story of a family with 12 children whose parents employ unorthodox teaching methods, causing clashes between parents and children. Show times are at 7:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday, with 2:30 p.m. matinee on Saturday and Sunday. Tickets are $20 adults, $5 ages 13 and younger (with paid adult). National Comedy Hall of Fame: The Hall of Fame Comedy Theater will host opening day performances Sept. 20 at the National Comedy Hall of Fame Museum, 2435 U.S. 19, Holiday. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m. Two comedians and a comedic magician are scheduled to perform. The museum is almost complete and expected to open at the end of September. Magician Chin-Chin: Direct from San Francisco, international magic champion Chin-Chin will perform at 8 p.m. Sept. 20 and 21 at Merlins Theater, 7148 Congress St., New Port Richey. Family Movie Night: The City of New Port Richey Parks and Recreation Department will host this outdoor movie event at 8 p.m. Sept. 21 at Sims Park, 5547 Main St., New Port Richey.
